itSMF café Exin
Door: Harald de Vries
Still in my enthusiasm of the itSMF café event on 6 March at EXIN HQ I would like to say that we can be proud that with joint efforts we have proofed to be able to organize a very successful and highly appreciated event. We have welcomed more than 60 people from various companies and training partners. The high attendance rate is achieved because of our great centrally located HQ, our joint promotional efforts with itSMF Netherlands and EXIN Marketing & Sales, a very inspiring program about Cloud Computing and Security and our well established relationships with experts.
Willem Middelburg, Board member of itSMF Netherlands, expressed himself saying: “You have aimed high andoffered in depth content”. One of our colleagues wrote: “My compliments, very pleasant meeting, well organized, cordially welcomed, nice furnished, delicious soup and buns (looked like Belgium), Introductory speaker with vision and humor”.
The title of the event was “Cloud Computing: Security is the key to unlocking business benefits”. This title is derived from a survey from TouchStone which
indicates that many companies are still worried to implement Cloud Computing. The survey reveals this worry is mainly caused by Security concerns. The goal of this events was to name the Security aspects and try to diminish the worry.
In order to do so we have organized three round table discussions. One was called Where are my data? The second was called Legal issues, and the third was about migration aspects.
At each table we had an expert available specialized in the assigned topic and a chairman. At each table a presenter was also appointed to give a brief plenary presentation of their main discussion points and findings.
